What  a weekend!  This weekend I went to Virginia USA for my sister's baby shower!  I'm incredibly thankful that she has surrounded herself with caring and loving friends.  I makes me so happy that she is safe, healthy and happy.  Family is so important to me, and this weekend was a weekend that made me come to terms with myself on how relations cannot be broken and even when you haven't seen people in a while, they remember you and remember the good times that you've had together!  He friends are hilarious and so special, and most of all they are like her.  She is caring and giving without expectation, and they give to her and us as though we are family too.  Haily is doing great and is heavily pregnant, and yes I touched and rubbed the tummy.  Baby phobia be gone!

I wanted to take this time to thank all my friends for their support and undying love for me, and I hope that you know how much I love them and how I'd be there for them in a heartbeat.  If I haven't been in touch with you in a while, that doesn't matter to me. You've touched my heart and I still care for you!  Love you all!

So that last two days have been interesting...

Thursday, I had a group assignment due and one of my group mates calls me at friggin 7:45am.   Who the hell calls someone that early.. at most he should have waited till 9.  The assignment wasn't due till 6pm that night and he really didn't have to do all that much to put it together!  Whatever.  Pissed me off and I spoken with him as civil as I could when we got to class. Geeeeeez.   The night came to an end when I went to Petro to top off my tank because Gas was $0.754/liter.  I put in $15.50 worth to fill my tank (I don't like having it not full...  its the way i am)  And as I walk in to pay, this black guy approches me and says "Don't worry about it."  What do you mean don't worry about it??  "I got you covered."  Oh  well I don't really accept things like that and I wasn't goig to give him my number so I tried to give him the money.  "No no, I just thought that if I did something nice for a pretty girl, karma would come back and give me something in return." I didn't know what to say so I thanked him and continued to walk in to the pay station.  I asked if that guy had paid for me and the man said "Oh yeah, your friend covered your charge." ok, so I walk out and the black guy gives me a smile as he drives out in his silver honda civic.   Later as I was driving home  I said to myself "MAN!  I should have waited a little longer and he could have paid for my full tank of gas!"  I'm greedy.  But it was nice non the less.

Yesterday Joey and I went to the Toronto Ski and Boarding show.  I wanted to get myself into the sport and I thought this would motivate me to go if I had bought all my gear.  We caught the train at 1:38pm and got there around 2ish.  I got boots ,bindings, a board and gloves.  Grand total of $600.  Ouch.  Joey was great, he helped me out.  He knew a bunch of stuff and he bargained with the guys.

When we got home I was already late to meet with mary and go eat sushi with her in Markham.  We hit mad traffic and we were later then expected.  We had a great time!  Derek has these really fun friends.

Got home at 1, and went to bed.

So this morning mary made me late for my meeting with my group mates!  I had it all set out.  I like to be early bout noooo  she makes us miss the train!  I'm just teesing you Mar! =)  So I miss my meeting and when I got there some of my group mates understood but theres this girl that I think is competing with me..(because everyone likes me.)  Se gives me a glare and says "At lease some of us know how to time manage."  I felt horrible already and aremark like that made me mad.  my response? "Yeah... and some of us know how to wear makeup and not look like clowns."  Booya! Go team Kat!

good day!

Today Joey and I had planned to go play squash at 9am.  I'm all ready to go and then I seem to have misplaced my deodorant.  That ends up making me late to go pick up Joey.  I make us Eggos and we park at Erindale park (like hell I'm gonna pay for parking--which I saw them check dashboards on the way out--)  We I teach Joey the basics and we begin our game. Man I'm out of practise... I should have really kept playing over the years.. I'm pathetic.  Then joey starts to goof off and end up doing this truly impossible thing.  He ends up roofing my ball in a squash room.  The room is completely closed in and the only unsmooth surface was the three window ledges that come out like 1 1/2 inches.  He flings it up there and I tell him to go to the front desk to help us out.  He leaves for two minutes and all the sudden I hear banging and Clanging. Joey appears with a utility ladder and climbs up to get the ball.  Where the hell did he find a ladder in a gym?  UTM's gym is under heavy construction and he just found a ladder up against the wall as he was walking to the front desk... we sneak the thing back down after we're done. Joey has class and I end up seeing some people from high school.. its nice to see them after a long time.

I pick up Jeff and we go eat at "Axia" on Eglington. Its nice because Jeff and I haven't really ever hung out on our own before. We talk and we get sushi, maki and Sashimi. Yum. Jeff's place is nice.  He seems to really enjoy it there and I think its great to have place that you can unwind in.

School tomorrow.

So I was walking up St.George St., which is under heavy construction that they even needed to close down one of the sidewalks to some work and it forces me to walk on the road.  So I'm walking up the street and start passing all these construction men.  Then I begin to notice that they're all smiling at me and saying things in Italian or Portuguese.  I just keep walking and saying thanks for letting me get by.  I finally get to that last guy who thinks he's doing me a favor by stopping traffic so let me get by and he gives me a big smile!   (Really now, you had to stop the cars anyways...) But then I relize at that point that I have the power to stop traffic!  Whaho!

Honestly, I felt pretty good about myself.  I think I'll do it again next week!

cheers!
